About Jessica Wood-Alford
Born and raised in Ohio, Jessica Wood-Alford moved to Charlotte in 2014. Jessica attended Eastern Kentucky University for her undergraduate studies in Psychology, then the University of Kentucky to obtain a Master's of Social Work degree. Before joining Charlotte Family Housing (CFH) as a Clinical Family Social Worker in 2016, she worked as an outpatient therapist supporting individuals and families on their mental wellness journey. In 2018, she was able to obtain full licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with families as they work towards their goal of self-sufficiency. CFH promoted Jessica to Lead Clinical Family Social Worker in 2021.
Jessica is passionate about walking alongside families experiencing homelessness, and she believes that with continued hope, support, and empathy, individuals can be empowered to elevate to their desired level of success and greatness. She looks forward being a part of the continued growth of both the families that she serves and CFH as an agency.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with friends and loved ones, including her puppy dog, Woola.
