About Marquita Henderson
Marquita, a Charlotte native, brings a strong desire for helping others and serving the community. Her extensive background in property management led her to want to help residents in a different capacity. Her passion to help those in need is what drives her to become a better person and an example of what the world needs. She is a true advocate of self-sufficiency and empowering our families to be the best version of themselves.
Marquita and her team serve as the point-of-contact between the families served by Charlotte Family Housing (CFH) and CFH's housing provider partners. She currently serves on the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association Government Affairs Committee monitoring legislation and code issues affecting the multifamily industry at the local, state and national levels. She also serves in the community assisting and volunteering with other nonprofit organizations who specialize in serving in populations experiencing homelessness.
Marquita earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from North Carolina Central University, she's a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and is also a Notary Public. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Chloe. She also loves décor and event planning (and does a magnificent job transforming spaces for our CFH family events) as well as traveling to new beaches.
